Veterinary Production Pay Examples

A few simple examples showing how production percentages can translate into estimated compensation before contract-specific adjustments.

Worked examples

20% of $600,000

$600,000 × 20% = $120,000

If the annual guarantee is $120,000, the two amounts are equal before any other contract rules.

21% of $600,000

$600,000 × 21% = $126,000

Compared with a $120,000 guarantee, that is $6,000 above the guarantee before adjustments.

22% of $600,000

$600,000 × 22% = $132,000

Compared with a $120,000 guarantee, that is $12,000 above the guarantee before adjustments.

21% of $55,000 monthly production

$55,000 × 21% = $11,550

With a $10,000 monthly guarantee, the estimated amount above the guarantee is $1,550.

Why these are only estimates

Actual veterinary contracts may define production differently or include exclusions, negative accrual, thresholds, timing rules, and other adjustments. Use the contract definition of eligible production when entering numbers into the calculator.
